Meet our panel of experts
Danielle Graham
Co-Founder, The Firehood
Danielle Graham is a General Partner of Phoenix Fire and Co-Founder of The Firehood, an angel-stage fund and network focused on women in technology. She created Fierce Founders Programs — the first women-focused accelerator in Canada. She managed Ontario Centres of Innovation's Market Readiness Fund, Sandpiper Ventures, and Dream Maker Ventures. Danielle supports underrepresented founders looking to scale their tech businesses as a member of the angel community network, investment officer, and advisor to tech incubators. Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Masters of Arts (M.A.) from Dalhousie University, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Trinity College, University of Toronto.
Craig Haney
Head of Ventures, AltaML
As the Head of Ventures at AltaML, Craig leads the Venture Studio part of the business. He supports the existing ventures to lead them from product/market fit, ultimately to external funding and scale. Inside AltaML, he sources the best ideas and companies to invest in through an internal incubation model centered around AI-driven products.
Prior to AltaML, Craig was the Director of Business Development for ApplyBoard, one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies, and the world’s largest international student platform. ApplyBoard’s newest product, Insights Dashboard, reinvented how higher education institutions navigate the race for global talent. Craig’s team developed this product from the ground up to provide the top Institutions in Canada with data and insights that are unique in the industry.
Jahangir Bhatti
Investor, BDC Capital
As an Investor with BDC Capital's Climate Tech Fund and Cleantech Practice, Jahangir is responsible for the identification and execution of investment opportunities in the Canadian cleantech landscape. Based in Toronto, he manages the full investment lifecycle from deal origination to structuring, due diligence and portfolio management. He has over a decade of experience spanning roles in audit, valuations and restructuring, in which he worked with multidisciplinary teams on private and public transactions across a wide variety of industries. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV). He is passionate about enabling the success of high-impact Canadian cleantech ventures.

The AC:Studio program was designed to support high-potential startup founders, whether they have an existing business idea or they are looking for their next startup adventure. This hybrid accelerator/venture studio program combines the best of our award-winning AC:Incubate program with a venture studio model that funds high-impact startups, matches great ideas with talented founders, and delivers:
- Up to $100,000 in seed funding grants for startups and small business
- One-to-one mentorship with our team of in-house and specialist mentors
- Sales training from pros like Uvaro to build a team that delivers
- Tactical support in product development, marketing, UI, and UX from industry experts and
- freelancers through partnerships with experienced startup builders at SnapPea and Conestoga
College's Gig Lab - In-kind hours with industry experts like PWC, Bereskin & Parr, and Gowlings WLG
- Access to market research, investment intelligence, and lead-generation reports
